So it wouldn’t hurt to see if she could benefit from hearing aids. And regardless of whether her hearing is good or not, it sounds to me like she is acting out. I’m wondering if she had been molested or witnessed the molestation. If this is the case, try play therapy. Some counties have child advocacy centers where they offer play therapy to children who have been abused on a sliding scale or at no cost. Children with Asperger’s tend to be very talkative, even to the point of being verbally precocious. Asperger’s is also a form of autism, so children with that tend to not interact well with others. ODD is a bit of a strong diagnosis for such a young child with developmental delays; I’d seek a second opinion.
